Standardized, open interfaces offer extensive possibilities for the design of the workflow and open up the advantages of digitalization in wire processing. In a network of machines, the management system not only sends orders to the machine, but also specifies and exchanges all the parameters for the process, for each article or each job as needed. All productivity data and quality measurements are available in real time. The system is continuously informed about the current operating situation, it can adjust the configuration settings at any time, including the use of quality measurement devices and their measurement methods. Instead of manually adjusting the settings, uniform standards can be defined and specified for each article. These functions are available as a scalable, open platform for production planning and control on Komax wire processing machines. Operators run the machine by using the green button on the touchscreen, step-by-step in the workflow, from material change to production of the job. The software automatically creates the most efficient workflow, operators no longer have to memorize functions and procedures.
