The highly conductive silver nanoparticle and dielectric inks can be used for simultaneous jetting of polymers and metals on a 3D printer, thus creating more compact, denser and ultimately non-planar electronics. The AgCite inks, as well as insulating dielectric materials have been developed to be used together. Potential applications include multilayer PCBs, 3D circuitry and MIDs for proof of concept as well as antennas, sensors, and other applications requiring high conductivity. Also, they can be used to create products combining flexible and rigid materials, geometrically complicated 3D objects optimized for functionality (not manufacturability), and even embedded objects.
