The development of the monitoring system necessitated the development of several cutting-edge measurement systems. Processing requirements were: conductors must not be touched during stripping, stripping quality must be monitored and verified constantly and wire tips must be positioned correctly relative to the machine. To meet these challenges and satisfy industry quality standards, Komax re-engineered and enhanced two recently-launched monitoring systems, combining them into a single quality-control system. Now Litealum contacts can be used on standard Komax machines using this new inline process monitoring. The new function enables stringent specifications to be met and provides customers with an efficient, economical solution for this technology. Now on the market, the system is the only aluminum wire processing machine quality-approved by major car makers.
