Who needs HD? Next-Gen AR Guidance with ADAS and SD Maps.

Augmented Reality (AR) apps, featuring guidance visualization, are drawing increasing attention. In the webinar we outline how visual-inertial odometry, combined with lane and landmark information, leads to a precise 6-Degree of Freedom pose (x, y, z, roll, pitch, yaw) which forms the foundation for precise AR guidance applications.

We will show that high quality AR apps are possible without HD maps, especially if we also take ADAS information into consideration.

We’ll also take a look at the limitations of HD maps, and explain the importance of dynamic vs static guidance information.
